Task 7

My Thoughts: 

My own review of my creation would, overall, be that it went rather well. Taking into consideration my poor abilities with said software, the end result is good. Not fantastic or by any means industry standard but I'm proud and content with my creation. Some of the surfaces looked fantastic and really make the whole model stand out a lot more than it previously looked and one of my regrets is not having enough time left to surface most, if not all, the other textures.

I don't personally feel there was enough assigned time in this project for someone of my, below average, ability with this software when compared to others in my class. But, allotted time is what it is and i did my best with the time I had. However, at times I really struggled with this project which made me really hate this unit and at times just stop working on it for a while; this probably plays a key factor in why I don't fell I had enough time.

Although I'm pleased with the result there are more than a few things wrong with it. And, if I were to do it again. Hopefully with more time, these are the areas I would drastically improve upon:

Some of the textures look really simplistic and boring. This really hindered my final piece and the reason they are the way that they are is due to running out of time to spend hours/entire lessons on just one or two surfaces.

The layout of the spacestaion is too simple. This makes it look like a lazy design which, I'll be honest, did play a huge part into why it was designed this way. I had to take into consideration my abilities and the time I had. It didn't help that it took me far too long to come up with the design so it was a little rushed as a result.

And, for my final point. The objects themselves (not all but some) look poorly constructed. yet again this is something that really pulls the whole model down. I feel this could not be helped. I do agree that some of my models are not super awesome "Oh wow look at that!" but after the amount of time I spent on each model (I should probably add that I am trying to make excuses here) they have been constructed to the best of my ability.

Other Peoples Reviews:

I didn't get many outside reviews on my spacestation unfortunately. But, the ones I did get seem to prove useful enough.

Someone commented on the YouTube video saying that they enjoyed it and liked the fact that it was linear and how the surfaces on the doors looked. That's all they said on the matter so I assume that these are the only points about it they enjoyed meaning the rest wasn't to their liking.

Another YouTube comment said that they thought the video was very unique and special and gave me a rating of 8/8. Apparently this person really liked my 3D modeling and animation skills.

I din't get any other reviews aside from those two mentioned above. Which is rather unfortunate but outside reviews can be varied in accessibility, sometimes they come thick and fast and other times you're waiting weeks for the first comment.
